A brief note about our name...
Ca' is an abbreviated form of the word
"casa," which means "house/home."
Venexiana translates as "Venetian" in the local dialect of Venice. The Venetian language, or Venetan,
dates back into the 9th century and enjoyed the prestige of Venezia's glory. It lingers even today, spoken mainly amidst
city life--from markets to osterie to gondolas.
Thus, our name, Ca' Venexiana, translates rather simply to "Venetian Home," which is the
impression we hope our guests enjoy during their stay with us. |
